I'm a bit surprised that my Fujifinepix S5000 can take the close up pix when I'm standing at the stream about 1 m away from that halfbeak. (body is 8cm long)

    Here are the pix:

    Nice!

If you had used a circular polarizer, it'll be even more punchy as the reflection will be removed to give better color and contrast.

the biggest one is 8cm.....usually i stay very close with the object when i want to take close up pix,but those halfbeak very sensitive fish ....I couldn't get that close...so i stayed a distance from them...using 10 X optical zoom & open my macro option...& then shoottttt.....gotcha...really out of my expectation.

Benny,my digicam can use that circular polarizer?

Should be able to. Either directly or through a lens adapter.

Thanks. I think buying Nikon D70 is much more fun than using this fujifinepix.....but no money to buy now.....maybe next year, then i'll ask you tons of question about how to take close up pix especially the fish.
