hi, first of all i've to say i'm a noob in this hobby. cool..luckily i got introduced to this forum. hope my problem can be solved asap.

you see..i've a 3 ft tank..almost bare ..some driftwood..no aquatic life no plants..

    some question i'm been pondering...

1.my plants are dying faster than usual..could it be the acidity of the water? how could i test on that?
    2. could it be the problem with the soil too?
3.i consulted my dad..he suggest it' might be due the CO2 level. could it be?

so i think my tank is in a total mess, probably i've to test wat's happening to my tank before i start introducing new items into it..

so how can i salvage the situation? hope this helps..

    thanks.

    Hi,

Welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll be able to find some answers here.

Before anyone can really help you troubleshoot, you'll need to post more information. It might help to read the FAQ stickies. Also, if you can get a pic up, it'll be easier to identify what's wrong.

thoses parameters are for the real experts...perhaps in lame man terms, few things required to judge.

    1. Size/dimension of the tank - esp on the depth
    2. What type of light, wattage are u using? how many?
    3. How long has the tank been? - new tank? season tank?
    4. do you use fertilizers?
    5. What type of CO2 are u using - cylinder type, self made?
    6. What plants did u try or do u intend to plant.
