Maybe you would like to post more different photos for the moss?
With my limited knowledge.. my guess is Java moss.
Have a little more patience and wait for the expert to comment.

Please give 2 pictures.. 1 picture of it mature under water in a tank. 1 picture of a single frond(stalk).
From the bundle in the picture it's difficult to tell.
I am balding but i am still young!
Its easier to identify if you take picture according to what eric mentioned.... aquatic plants grows differently when emerged and submerge d.
From the picture, it looks like flame moss...but its just a lucky guess. If you want fast identification, ask the guy who sell/give you the plant...haha
Check out my Blog on planted tank, good for newbies ( i am lazy to retype all the info i know, so please click and read below link... i hope you don't fall asleep while reading)

PlantLog Garden Cryptocoryne, Bucephalandra .....
This moss is grown submerged. If I take photos under water then it would be more difficult to identify.
When someone give a moss, I always examine the variety. Not always believed what they said.
I don't think its a flame. Java moss is far, far off.
