As above, I am hoping to get advice on the plants that I can put in my black water biotope tank. I am using Up led z10 for my lights with no fert and co2.

    Thanks in advance.

The tannin stained water will cut out alot of light, so low light plants would be more suitable for black water tank setups... can try anubias, java ferns or java moss (or other similar low demand plants).

Floating plants like frogbits would work too, they can utilize all the light available since they are at the water surface and are very effective in soaking up nitrates.

Most black water habitats (and tank setups) don't have much plants anyways, usually just lots of branches and leaf litter.

    Thanks UA.

I had bought one mini anubias tied to a Java rock. Perhaps will look out for Java ferns as recommended. My tetras and cories looked more happier in black water now. 😊
