Algae on Bucephalandra.

Saw a nice Bucephalandra at a LFS. Price pretty comfortable but however it is covered with some algae. Just wondering will it survive Excel treatment if I buy it?

My thought us why do you want to go through that? If I were you, I would pay a bit more to get the one without algae. Certain algae is really persistent and might spread to your other plants. Also, the survival after doping of excel is still an unknown.

Points noted. Considering because it's near my place, good price and nice growth beside the algae. Sad.

removing algae is tricky business. i have kill some buce doing so. learnt that in the hard way. Unless you are confident in doing so, if not, my advice is not to do so. I believe the price difference is not so big.
