    My tank is 1.5 week old. can i add OTO, SAE and Malayan Shrimps now? my riccia has not grown not, xmas moss and glossostigma too. not really grown yet. can i put them into my tank now? will them uproot my plants? pull out my xmas moss and riccia from the mesh? please advise

    yes... i usually intro them a few days after i setup the tank

    haiya... relax can... don't be so scared lah... just dump them in... i normally put them in after first day of set up... sheesh...

    If for a 2ft tank, dump in 5 sae, 8 otos, 20 yamatoes...

    5 SAE is way too many for a 2ft.. if u got 5 of those SAE I have in my 6ft... bound to give u headache

    estimate ard 1-2sae, 5otos and 10-15 yamato .. Amano add 50 yamato in the 1st week, then remove most of them after a few weeks

    for normal 2x1x1 tank
    1 sae
    3 otos
    20 yamatoes
    will be enough
    for a 2x1.5x1.5 custom tank
    2 sae
    5 otos
    35 yamatoes is what i had

    but in the end i caught out the saes because they were getting too big

    oto and SAE eat the same type of algae?? can just go with oto?

    i had 12 SAE, 3/4 the size of those u see at pet safari's 10ft... they were a pest, eating all the new leaves and I managed to remove all of them

    kel, diff algae.. oto more for those on leaves and on the glass.. SAE is said to be all

    Correction....it's a 12ft...& did any of u manage to see the rare dwarf cichlids in there? There's one dat's quite old & reaching the end of its lifespan...quite big...sorry, forgot the name...
