    This is a terrestrial plant commonly missold as an aquatic plant. It's a Spathyphyllum sp. The plant thrives in marshy areas, but will not survive for more than a few months underwater.

    Google the net for pictures of Spathyphyllum.... you will see the similarity, and also advice for growing it (on land).... the mistake is understandable, as Spathyphyllum is related to Anubias (same family - Araceae).
