Where did you bought it? Was it a new resident in your tank? Possible to take a side picture and repost?
Hi, any bros here have their Amano shrimps having a blue tint or red tint?
Is it normal? They seem to be quite happy and react to my feeding quite fast.

I managed to take a photo of my blue Amano. He is more dark blue than the photo though.

Recent studies shows that putting recent studies in your statement have a higher percentage of trust people put into your recent studies. What?
Got it from 328 last month. They all looked like standard amano's until recently some turned red and others turned blue.
I'll try to get another side shot when I get back

Oh wow, I wonder what causes them to colour up so intensely. For a moment I thought my parents threw in a blue bolt without my knowledge.
Here are some other shots I managed to get. Sorry for blur pictures.

Wow. Amazing. First time coming upon a blue amano.

Indeed, same here too. It would be awesome if in a few years time Blue/Red Amanos will be sold along with the coloured neos. The standard Amanos are kinda boring though =P

In my experience, bluish tint usually = healthy and happy. Brownish red tint (not to be confused with their "normal" beige(?) like colour) usually indicates that it will die soon. I have not done measurements of water conditions, etc... just observation.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
Hmm guess I'll keep an eye out of the redder looking ones.

When I gave away my Yamato shrimp, I left them in a blue basin, took them out and they looked like with a blue tint. Not sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me...
