    Thank you. There are new shoot from C. parva.

    May get GEX fine grained substrate instead of ADA.

    My attempt in making el-natural tank according to Diana's book.

    @2 weeks old
    o

    Tank size is 60L
    Lighting : 16W T4 and indirect sunlight
    Substrate : Silica gravel
    Base fert : potting soil mix with Wonder-Gro Basic+ base fertilizer
    CO2 : -
    Fertilizer : Wonder-Gro Macro+, Wonder-Gro Micro+
    Filtration : Boyu internal filter
    Flora : Vallisneria sp, Cryptocoryne sp, Saggitaria subulata
    Fauna : Nerite snail, Synodontis, CAE, SAE, Cherry shrimp

    Initially WC was done at large percentage and regularly to control excess leaching from the soil mix.

    @almost 2 months old

    Later WC is reduced, 10-15% every 2-3 weeks just to top off the water.

    Nice tank. The scape would be nicer if you remove the diagonal piece of moss on mess on the right side.

    The previous one was (which is a shame because it is just maturing) busted due to a leak to the side of tank. It was an old tank anyway....

    So I set up another one in replacement, same size, same equipment, same way.

    16W of T4 with some indirect sunlight
    Soil substrate mix with Wonder-Gro Basic+
    Silica gravel for capping
    Internal filter
    No CO2
    Tiny bit of liquid fertilizer Wonder-Gro Macro+ and Micro+

    I cant believe my eyes that those tall vallisneria-like plant by the background is actually Saggitaria subulata (which I bought as tiny plantlets and never hear it can grow so big). It overheight neighbouring vallisneria spiralis tiger!

    Hi Nevada,

    Nice setup! Simple and elegant.

    Just a question, with no filter, only HC and gloso would there be any algea problem?
    What is the average tank or room temperature?
