The first one looks like Rotala Wallichii. I had it like this when I planted it then it grew very tall with pink tips. The tip closes at night and opens in the day. I just stick it in substrate with tweezers one by one.

The second plant looks like Ammania sp. ‘Bonsai’... not 100% confirm though, but it sure looks like what i've seen in the Tropica grow pots.

Btw, the white pots your plants came in look interesting and the plants are packaged in such tiny bunches, which LFS did you buy them from?

I got them from East Ocean, I think the pots are similar to those pinkish rings that were used in LFS. Thanks for the ID too, I googled the name you gave, looked very similar, think it should be the one.

For rotala, they will grow fast and tall up to (and above) the water surface, suitable as background plants.

For ammania sp. bonsai, it grows to around 10-15cm height, so more suitable as mid-ground plant.

I guess the first picture is Rotala Vietnam. The second picture look like Rotala Indica (RED). Both plant can be use as background plant.
