I am using a nano ocean free 3 tank with built in filter at the back. I noticed the water at the back kind of still. Is not covered. Will it breed mosquito?

If there is any still water there would be a chance to breed mosquito especially if there are no fish, may i know why the water in the back is still even though the filter is there? some pictures may help.
    Good luck!

I had one of those IOS-style tanks before and mosquitoes will be able to lay eggs in the exposed filter compartment, i managed to find some in my unit. The water surface is relatively still there and without any fishes in those compartments the larvae will survive and grow.

If you encounter mosquito breeding issues, just cover that portion with plastic sheet or mosquito net (remember to DIY a small hole to allow the pump's electrical cord to slot through).
