Will ionizer harm fish

Have been trying out a newly bought ionizer which outputs 400mg/h for 30mins per day (fish tank about 110litres) hoping to get rid of green algae. This morning, saw my sae fish died for no apparent reason, other platy and tiger barbs are still perfectly ok. So was wondering if ionizer would harm fish.

some china made. It's actually ozonizer..typed wrongly on the subject..have yet to calibrate another china made orp meter to see if it is effective
