    Hi all,
I'd like to take out and growing emersed some glosso and echinodorus quadricostatus. These plants are currently submersed. How to do it ? bring out the leaf right away above water or need adjustment period ? Is it better to have it under direct sunlight or shaded ?

    thx in advance.

i'm not sure this could be applied to glosso, but for a plant's transition from submerse to emerse, there need to be a transiton period for the plant to change n adapt to being emerse. for the time being you could place ur plant in a fully closed transparent container where the water level is just touching the leaves. the container is to provide humid condition, so the plant won't dry out. over time u can reduce the water level but must still keep the container moist. soon the glosso starts to grow new leaves which are adapted to emerse surrounding. its better to try it out with the glosso plant tat have established roots.

hope this helps.. i have applied this method with crypts and using 1.5l plastic bottles..
    Cheers,
