You'll need to cover the tank air-tight to keep the humidity constantly very high for moss DSM (must be so humid that the sides of the tank all frosted up with water droplets), otherwise they will dry out very quickly.
Will humidifier help?

no need, just fill bottle with water, put airline tubing into it, seal, other end of tubing into tank, cling wrap tank, and wait

Get the latest version of the ADA aquasoil which is New Amazonia, that would be the best to use.

powder isnt the newest, ua is referring to amazonia 2, c328 stocked up amazonia 1, might want to check with polyart

Just to clarify, i think the LFS all carry the New Amazonia versions now (the older 1 and 2 versions were already phased out a while back, unless the LFS somehow kept old stock for years)... can see the most recent packaging design at ADA website:

They don't use the word "New" anymore, just different color font to differentiate between normal and powder type.
