Could have been caused by a too high Copper content in the water, do a water change and use a good water conditioner. My amanos died due to this reason.

hi Bryan,
My tank is about 1 month old. CO2 is abt 3bps and they are in the tank for about 2 wks....
maybe your tank hasnt stabilized yet. water might have nitrates and shrimp are very sensitive to them. what type of shrimps are dying?
Cheers
Bryan
Seems this is the same syndrome with my tank.
Any way to eliminate nitrate & nitrite effectively??
Thanks

Read somewhere that hornworts and those floating plants eg duckweed will absorb nitrate...do lookup to confirm info.

it started with Malayan then Yamatoes........
naturally if somethings wrong with the water, malayan will go first, cos they are more sensitive. I'd say give it another month before you try with shrimp again. This should allow the sufficient bacteria to start to form in your tank water and filter to break down all the nitrate and what nots.
