    Re: which type of fertilizer?

For proper fertilizer, you need Macro and Micro nutrients.
Macro: Nitrogen, Phosphate and Potassium. Plants need this in large quantity. E.g Seachem Nitrogen, Seachem Phosphorus and Seachem Potassium
Micro: Fe, Mg, B, Cu, Co etc. Plants need it but in smaller quatity. E.g Seachem Iron and Seachem trace

Some brand combine all N, P and K together.

    Re: which type of fertilizer?

Depends on your budget and type of fertilization regime you want to adopt.
Dry fertilizers will be cheaper in the long run as compared to commerica fertilizers, especially if your tank is big and you have a high plant mass, i.e. fast growers.
