    Hi guys,

Brought my camera to the fish shop last week to see if I could get some shots.

    Here are the results.

    Comments welcome.

    Cheers,

Benny, this can be a stupid question to some; but did you bring along flash and put it as slave over the top of the tank, or do you just use the aquarium lightings?

You obviously need reasonably high shutter speed to take these pic. What is the speed that you have set?

    Thanks for sharing.

Wow, I like the last one. If only the other side of the eye can be seen together, this will make it a perfect shot.

Yeah, what shutter speed did u use and the cam?

    Hi guys,

    Thanks for the kind words.

The pictures were taken at Cichlid Forever and there were no aquarium lights turned on during the time we were there (shipment day). So the pictures were shot with flash.

Shutter speed used were either 1/250 seconds or 1/320 seconds. As this wasn't a scheduled photo stop, I didn't have a lot of time at the shop. There's actually a lot more stuff to shoot. Maybe next time.

As for the last puffer, it's about life size. You can still see it at the shop.

    Thanks for viewing.

    Cheers,

Well... I'll say you did pretty good yourself, considering the condition there and the limited time we have.
