Always wanted one of these fluval edge tanks haha. 8-10 hours of lights is good. Day or night would be up to you i guess. Some like to have the lights according to natural daylight timing. Personally i delay the lights-on timing in such a way that i could view my tank at night and lights off at midnight.

The look of thing tank is very nice but after owning one a year ago, I find it very hard to insert tubings for CO2 or have space to work during the scaping process. Also the halogen lamp emits quite abit of best after awhile.
But you've done a great job with it

Use inline co2 diffuser or reactor haha. But still get air bubbles trapped at the corners. Did you get air/co2 bubbles collecting at random corners?

Yup at the upper sides of the tank right?

Haha I'm not sure there anything you can do about it but my biggest problem was the heat from the light.

not easy to maintain this tank oh.... hard to scrap algae like GSA due to small outlet on top if not mistake...well good effort...

the hairgrass should be planted strand by strand to encourage growth... this tank seems a bit dark...well try first... can upgrade late...hahah

I have to agree that this tank is hard to scrub algae off.
IMO this tank is meant for simple and minimal set ups but it is looking good so far

    Keep us updated!

Re: First Planted Tank - Fluval Edge

i was very tempted to buy this fluval edge whenever i pass by c328, but after some thoughts i've upgraded to a normal bare 2ft tank~ as i prefer more space to do scaping
(as the inlet is right in the middle, might be limited to some plants or driftwood positioning)

    expensive stuff!
