    Hi,

my aponogeton just put out 2 flower stalks. I'm thrilled but have a few doubts....

    1) are individual flowers sterile or will they produce viable seed?
    2) if individual flowers are sterile, can I cross pollinate using another flower from the same plant? Sorry....sec school/JC biology classes have largely been forgotten.
    3) How difficult is it raising plants from seed?

    thank you.

Just rub the flower stalks aginst each other. The flower can be from the same plant or even stalk.
