hi, i was shocked to see my rubber hoses of the ehiem filter is infested with round white mould. Can be described as off-white coloured flat sago stuck on the inside of the rubber hose. These white mould also appear on the rubber suction cup in the water which is easily removed by just rubbing off if . What is this THING? The problem is those mould in the hose. Anyone has same experience b4 and care to share your countermeasure? not sure also what causes it. Do they affect my plant and fish? Do I need to change the filter material?

    hiya

dont worry about it...cos everyone's got it somehow in their filter hosing.....chances likely it is bacteria......the only why to get rid of it is to use a stiff brush like the ones used to wash baby bottles and pull through
