Sorry bro 2nd is not betta.its croaking gourami
The first one has the built of macrostoma but could be a juvenile channa? It's about 8 cm and comes to water surface for air.
The second is definitely some kind of betta sp. but not sure which. Is it Betta Pugnax?
Both are located in slightly alkaline water (ph 7.5-8.0) in Singapore.

The first looks like channa striata.. Where was the picture taken?
Those are beautiful species by the way.. Nice colours!
Croaking gourami hard to find 😵
Loving crypts <3
Thanks for the ID. Didn't expect Croaking Gourami.
They are found in eastern Singapore, far away from the nature reserves. Please don't ask me exact location. Thanks.
You must be quite an adventurer to find them

Channa striata (Common snakehead) and Trichopsis vittata (Striped croaking gourami). Both are native to Singapore.
Biwei
Yes Bro nature247, the first one is a common snakehead and the other is croaking gourami. Native to Singapore and Malaysia. I catch lots of them near my place in Johor Bahru.
