Sorry the previous link didn't work.
Hey guys, its been 2 weeks since I last got this plant from the lfs. This was the closest plant I could find there for my likings so I got free it from the uncle's not for sale tank. The first week it was dping well, expanded around half its original size, but now, most the leaves have black spots around the edge and the new shoots appear to have brown spots.
Dosed with co2 tables, dymax flora plus and have a T5 light. The soil I bought was Japanese branded but the uncle said it was good for plants.
Can someone explain to me the problem and how to solve it?

If the plant leaves have black spots on it, maybe it could be java fern? If so, then the black/brown spots would be the spores where new plantlets will grow from.
Maybe you can google "java fern" and see if the photos match your plant.
Help you post the pic

hygrophila polysperma? easy to grow plant...considered a pest in some countries....
this plant can grow even in my sand only setup... hmm, maybe need some close up pictures to identify the problem...

Thanks! Dont know why cant upload through mobile browser.
Taking a photo of the actual plant in your tank will help alot in identifying it and perhaps find out the issues.
I see... the leaves in the photo looked okay, so i thought the photo was another plant example from the net.
If the spots are removable and you can rub them off, then they are probably algae.
Otherwise, it could be some deficiency that might be affecting them, maybe this chart may help:
