Had an about 1 gallon pico tank sitting at home. Not sure what to do with it.
So when bro Felix gave me free plants, I thought, heck why don't I give it a try.
Just for the fun of it. (This is my way of thank you bro Felix)
Was thinking Walstead dirt tank but I had a lot of ADA Amazonia from my previous tank. Rocks were also from my previous tank.
All the plants were from bro Felix and were grown emersed. So I expect to see them melt in the next few days.
Tank is currently cycling and will be using seachem flourish to supplement the HC growth.

This is the tank just after flooding.

Just for comparison sake, that's a 500ml bottle.

    Cheers and happy planting everyone!

One week in and there's definitely growth..
Not awesome but it's definitely growing.
Only limiting to 3-4hours of light a day and supplementing with excel dosing.
    Seems to be doing well.
Too lazy to test for ammonia and stuff but I'm sure the tank is cycling.
In fact, there's a chance it could already be complete.
    Oh well.

Just tested the water parameters today.
Tank is still cycling with little nitrate produced. Which is good news!
    Soon it'll be done!

Thanks for the update and this showcasing. Setup is looking pretty neat. Keep it up. Looks like there weren't any melting was there ?

Mini update. 4 weeks in I believe cycling must have been complete.
    Did big water change.
The HC melted away left with a few patches.
Keeping up with excel dosing and light only.

Don't know what livestock to put in. Maybe will try some cheap shrimps.

    Mini update.

    Two months since last update.

Tank is doing fine. Dosing excel every alternate to three days.
Some brown diatoms on the glass and rocks due to work traveling. No excel for two weeks.

Maybe should add shrimps. But too expensive.
    Any donors? Hahahaha

    Cheers

Maybe you can add netrile snails to clear the brown diatom algae.
