You could try to trim off old leaves to encourage growth. Perhaps you could share your setup?

    Re: Red tiger lotus

I don't know about my tds(don't measure Hahaha) But mine is in a 1.5ftx1ftx1.5ft with 4x24W T5HO lighting with pressurized Co2 perhaps yours is problem lighting or ferts ,I think

The Red tiger lotus is a pretty Hardy plant, mine was bought with alot of rotten stems and leaves. The plant managed to grow half a dozen of new leaves within a week in my main tank which has co2 and light while my other mini tank's Red tiger barely grew in the same time frame

    Re: Red tiger lotus

Wow! But my tank is low tech. And the lights are from the sun. Cause the tank is near the window so I don't switch on the light. As for ferts do they need a lot?? Cause my tank have lots of cherry shrimps in there so I think the waste they are producing should be enough for the red tiger lotus.

I don't think the shrimp waste would be able to supplement your plants if you have lots of them and there Are also other nutrients that the shrimp poo doesn't have that the plants needs as well.

And I am not Sure How much light is your tank getting from natural lighting as well I'd the light is consistent you might want to look at your substrate, If your substrate is old it might help to fertilize them. I got problem previously for my plants due to substrate running out of nutrients perhaps you could look at the substrate? My plants were all not doing well until I added in root tabs for my soil Hahahaha. I Only got my pressurized co2 and lights recently and plants did worst than previously when they were without co2 and higher lights. Hope this helps.
