low requirement tank plant recommendation

Beside Nanas, java fern, moss what are some of the plant that is commonly use? or any other nice and is low requirement? those in album I suppose are emerse form so cannot really see how it looks like when it is submerge

I just read about one guy managing the grow blyxia japonica where he cannot grow java fern ( no offence to him though )

I've also seen a person grow Vallis ( dunno what sp. it is ) in a tank placed outside his home.
