    Hi,

I believe I have freshwater limpets (a type of snail) that has come with my plants. They seem to eat algae and are not doing any harm, however, they are multiplying rapidly.

Anyone have any clue how to remove them from my 6' planted tank? I want to start keeping altums but won't till have this problem under control.

I identified them with the help of these sites:

    http://www.fishpondinfo.com/snail2.htm
    http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.ed....jpg/view.html

Was wondering if Rams would eat them?

    Thanks in advance.

you can try to put in some dwarf puffer or Clown Loach, but i think puffer is the best....just that they might bite other fishes and plant.
