got bba and fuzz algae, how to eliminate??

hi

i got a four feet tank with specs as follows:

(1) size: 4 by 2 by 2
(2) CO2 KH3, PH6.5
(3) Light: 6X36W, 9.5 hours daily
(4) daily 5%- 10% water change
(5) heavily planted with cripus, fern, crpyt wendti, moss, nana, hg
(6) fert: easylife liquid fert 2 cups, kn03 0.5 tspn, k2s04 1.5 tspn, kh2p04 2ml (?). add the dosage twice weekily

seems like moss got some fuzz algae (black thready kind). my filter outlet and some cirpus leafs near it got some bba growing.

hair grass planted 2 months plus liao and not growing at all.

so any advice on what i should do to ensure algae free and healthy plants??

CO2. Keep it in the 20-30ppm range throughout the entire photoperiod all day all week. Not just at one point of the day or week..consistency is important.

i am using the soleniod which tie to the timer for the lighting set. so i guess the c02 should be quite consistent??

my tank is about 2 moths plus.

Don't assume...check, check and recheck. Circulation is important in a big tank so you will need to look at it as well. Try to use a spraybar/rainbar for the outlet of your filter and have the general flow along the bottom back edge of your tank towards the front while having some slight surface movement. You are also better off doing weekly large 50% water changes instead of daily.

hi, do you mean placing the rainbar at the bottom&back of yr tank?
what degree to you set your rainbar to blow towards the front of the tank?
