You may not have turn on fully for your CO2 output valve. So, if you only turn on slightly, chances is that the compressed CO2 will rush out initially but once the pressure gets stablized, it may not have enough pressure to release more CO2.
Coz I have experience this too when I try to turn my valve a little, adjust my needle valve and see bubbles in my CO2 counters, I stopped and feel satisfied. But hours later, the CO2 releases stop. Only after I release more CO2, the bubbles starts releasing.
I would suggest you invest on a electronic solenoid where you need not have to manually turn the valve on and off. Let the timer do it for you.
