Appreciate if anyone can inform whats the good buy of this. I already have JBJ solenoid regulator and wish to use it in tandem with the controller. Which LFS might have it and how much is the market price ?

    ph controller

Qian Hu is selling a Taiwanese brand for over $400.

    Rainbow - no stock

C328 - Dennerle (prepare to pay more than $600) - no stock. Taiwanese brand is $200

    Petmart - no stock

    Gratiola - no stock

eAquanature - US Pinpoint over $400. Taiwanese brand over $200.

Mail order - Milwaukee about A$250, inclusive of postage. No agent in Singapore. Reputable brand but need to add adaptor as power plug pins in Australia are different from Singapore. this is my personal choice, but now the A$ is so high now.
    Cheers

thanks Peter. For the $200-$400 Taiwanese made, is it the same brand ?

I don't think they are the same.

I suspect the one at C328 is a meter. The uncle and auntie seemed not to be very sure over the phone.

The Qian Hu's one sounds like A-life (?) and the eAquaNature's one sounds like WeiPro (?).

And I thought WeiPro is made in China instead of Taiwan.

I am now considering mail ordering the Milwaukee one at A$260 (about S$330) or a Taiwanese Saga Micro-ph controller (www.saga-electronic.com) for US$180 (about S$300). Milwaukee is very reputable and Saga is very common in HK (based on feedback, also reliable). Unfortunately, both are not available in Singapore. Hence, the down side is that have to mail order the probe (for Milwaukee) or buy in HK (for Saga) in the future. Another risk is that in case the set does not work properly, it will be too expensive to ship back to them for repair or replacement within the warranty period.

However, at least I know they should be reliable and I do not have to pay a bomb for some premium brands for their reliability.
    Cheers

you can get the pin converter from sim lim tower or shops dealing with travel goods. no need to get another adaptor.

the probe needs to be replaced after 1 year, according to the manual. a new probe costs $100.

i dun mind to pay the initial cost but the running cost of $100 per year really let me down. hehz...

It's a recommendation. Most probe last more than 2 years. You will know when your ph reading goes bersek.

Most important is to calibrate your probe once in a while. The solution cost money though.

Chris, you still have BBA issues with your tank? Seems like your probe did not go well with your controller or there is potential stray current somewhere affecting the probe.
