Bought this little guy from c328 last September thinking he is a baby whites tree frog. Now I'm not so sure.

    Anybody can help identify him?

Re: What is this tree frog?

It's very tricky, because a lot of tree frog species from many parts of the world are green in colour.

Some possible identities include North American Green Tree Frog (Hyla cinerea) and Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog (Litoria fallax), which is also from Australia and overlaps in range with the White's Tree Frog. I have no idea if the White's Tree Frogs in Singapore are imported from Australia and whether they're wild-caught, but it's possible that an Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog got mixed up with a shipment of White's Tree Frogs.

Also, many frogs change their colour depending on their surroundings and stress levels. Do observe and see if your frog changes colours and patterns, especially at night or if it's in a planted environment. That might reveal more clues as to its true identity.

Hmm... Pseudogobiopsis, I think you may be right about him being eastern dwarf. The call from my little guy sounded like the eastern dwarf. Not sure if the color changing help, but he changes to brown sometimes when he's on a dark background, similar to a whites tree frog.
I tried asking auntie at c328, but has no clue either.

Fruit flies are another good source of food. I leave a piece of banana in a container, wait for fruit flies to gather, then cover, put inside the fridge for a while, and then harvest the fruit flies while they're still chilled and immobile. But it works only if they're unable to escape the frog's enclosure.
