Why not? Is it not the same when all of these are dispensed into the tank? The other comparison is buying the "all in one" fertilizer?
Hello all,
I was wondering since dosing fertilizers can be quite trouble some, can I mix all of them into one small bottle?
Like Iron, trance, potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen.
Will doing this reduce their effectiveness as compared to dosing 1 bottle at a time?
Thanks for the advice!

You may do some reading up online. Mixing up on your own will cause some chemical reactions which will render your fertilizers useless to the plants. Even though the separate fertilizers will be dosed into the tank eventually, the tank has a high volume of water that dilutes the chemical reaction, as opposed to mixing all your ferts into a small "all-in-one" bottle.
The commercial all-in-one fertilizers you find have chelated iron that does not react readily.

Hmm.. Glad to know this information!
Good question asked and thanks for all the answers.

the 3 macros NPK can be mixed into 1 bottle but macros and micros cannot as it'll cause precipitation.
SourceCan I dose macro and micro mixes on the same day?No, the iron (Fe) in the chelated trace and the phosphate in potassium phosphate (KH2PO4) tend to react with each other, especially at higher pH levels.
This can render these ingredients unavailable to the plants as they combine to form iron phosphate.

If mixing the various macro and micro elements together can result in precipitation of some compounds or chemical reaction that might render some conversion of compounds to an unusable state for plants.
Does this mean that commercial brands of fertilizers claim to have an all in one fertlizer dosing all essential elements for plants, do not in fact have all the essential plant nutrients?
Can the commercial all in one fertilizers be relied on?
Cheers,
JJ
The recommendation to not dose macro and micro ferts on the same day refers to when DIY powder ferts are used, those are usually sold in particular forms that can cause them to precipitate with each other.
The commercial all-in-one fertilizers have been pre-formulated beforehand so that their nutrients do not precipitate each other, hence they don't encounter the same issues.
