    Hi experts,

i was thinking of creating a carpet for my shrimps, but without gravel. Would that be possible?

What carpet is easy to grow without co2?

    thanks.

Hi there! I am no expert, but your best bet will be moss or fissiden on mesh. You might also want to take a look at mini pellia, however that needs cooler water.

Christmas moss or fissidens can grow well in low-tech non-Co2 tanks without chillers.

If you like the tile/minecraft look, can tie them to mesh... if you prefer to go for a more natural undulating landscape look, then can tie them to lava rocks, coconut shell pieces or wood.

    Hi sorry to hijack thread.
My tank averaging 31degrees can put mini fissiden?
The tank used to be constant at 28degrees until I place a chiller below it.

Hmmm I would advise not too as its kinda warm but it will live.. The chiller is for another tank I assume?? Try installing a fan for the tank or moving the chiller apart so the heat can dissipate better without affecting ur other tank,

Yeah the chiller is for another tank. Problem is I can't shift the chiller anywhere else. I guess I'll just point my wall fan at the tank in the afternoon

Mini fissiden can still survive under temperature exceeding above 30 deg c. No harm trying.
