    Hi

Does anyone know what are these little worm-like attachments on the caudal fin (see picture)?

I found similar ones on my juvenile C. Concolors bought a week ago. They are now in my 2ft quarantime tank, still feeding well but some of the fins are clamped.

I'm starting on a diluted salt treatment (1 ppt), being the safest route (not knowing what the worm is).

    Thanks.

    Just an update.

Some thought they are anchor worms.

    I've added CopperSafe today.

if it is anchor worm, i suggest you use your bare hand and plug them out carefully, apply the wound with PP. The faster way of curring. less then 2 days, everything gonna be fine.

Updated the picture link again (hope it can be seen this time).

The worms are so small (~1mm) , it is not possible to plug them out.

    HI atlantis,
sounds n looks like the problem I mentioned in Petfred - 'Barbels problem' zac08 thinks it is a higher form of parasite. looks quite like urs except mine r on the barbels. treated the fish with an anti-bacterial/parasite medication n it has since recovered. I did isolated treatment for about 5 days.
