Hi Fran09,
From the info you have provided,
I will deduct that the death of it is due to unsuccessful molting.
Do check your GH. Make sure it falls under 4-6.
Cheers
Hi all,
Need some help here. Last night one of my king kong shrimp lied side way with his head seem to be attached to some shell. Not sure if it is eating it or part of moulding process.
It was swimming up and down once a while. But still lied side way. Sadly, it died this morning.
Does any bros here have similar experience or knie the reason? Thanks in advance.

that is definitely an expensive "death".... and I can understand you trying to understand why to prevent future recurrence.
How do we increase gh?
Hi all,
Thank for the advise. Not sure if the new water conditioner I bought from Sun aquarium. Measured the TDS and value from 150(in the past) to 170. Will do 20% water change this weekend and monitor.
So far, the rest of my shrimps are ok.
Cheers.....
definitely molting issue. guess its partially new product testing - try to exercise caution when using new products as your parameters might change drastically & stress out the shrimpies / affect molting.

Do test the gh in the water before doing any changes. If gh is high. Shrimplets will have trouble molting.
I use SaltyShrimp GH+. Expensive. But this thing work
