By the way anyone knows where to get Oryzias dancena (Rice fish)?? or Nematobrycon amphiloxus (Black Emperor tetra)??
given that you have cardinals and rummy nose, I will strongly encourage using hatchetfishes as they are more compatible coming from the same locale.
many types of hatchets are available, the common, silver, marbled, black winged etc. do have a cover though if you intend to have hatchets, they are notorious jumpers!

cool, thanks. the problem is that i have no cover leh..and i can't put one up....very very ugly!! Anyway....going down Gratiola today and seeing what they have loh... maybe in the end i just get some danios cos i know they also like to be at the top..lol..

My danios always stay in the midway. Maybe can try clown killies.
