Problems Refilling - Faulty CO2 Tank?

Hello everyone....

Have any of guys had problems refilling your CO2 tank? Here's what happened to me...

I bought a 2-litre CO2 tank December last year. My usage has been minimal...thus the need to refilling cropped up only last week.

I sent it to the LFS where I bought it (Y61 for the CO2 tank to be refilled. The friendly auntie called me saying to the effect "cannot go in". I supposed she meant the CO2 can't be injected into the tank.

Yesterday, the young chap there (the boss?) offered me to use his tank first while he will send my tank for a further check. Nice gesture indeed!

Question is: What would have happened when a tank can't be refilled?

Share your ideas please...

Meanwhile, I hope all will be fine with my tank. If not, I'm not sure what to do with it really..

Could be that your main valve is not shutting off properly or that your pressure by-pass valve is corroded........

Not sure whether water has entered the tank or whether some parts of the tank were corroded ....I'm still in the dark indeed.

Still waiting for that call from them. Hopefully it can still function. But if it couldn't, I'm not sure what to do the tank ...

Just an update....

I went to Y618 yesterday afternoon and it seems like my tank isn't right somewhere and thus couldn't be refilled.

The kind young boss there then gave me a replacement tank that was fully refilled without charging me. Really made my trip from Bukit Batok to Yishun worth it!
