I know this question will make alot of people impatient, but I'm having flim algae on my 2ft tank for quite a while now. It came when I did some minor rescaping.

The thing is, I haven't been able to find much info about this type of algae on the web. Perhaps any bros here know what causes flim algae? ( you know, high in this and low in that, that kind of thing )

    Thanks. A lot.

Are you talking about the black film algae that comes in pieces?

Haha, fim algae as I refer to it, is the layer of algae that grows in the walls of tanks.

Nopez. I know how BGA looks like from pictures.

Imagine the glass wall of a tank covered by a thin layer of bright green algae. That's the algae I'm talking about.

Don't tell me no one has encountered this before??

Ooooh that kind of algae.....well the problem with it is that it thrives in more or less the same condition as what your plants would.....the best way to get rid of them is a good glass scraper.....
