After giving up Opae ula for a year plus ... I decided to try it out again ... Afterall, they are really so hardy and red ...
I learnt my lesson previously and make sure that i dont make the same mistake ....
I decide to purchase 100 shrimps from my friend and 4 hermit dwarf crabs .... My tank setup focuses on simple to clean, simple to maintain, simple to look .... I bought a natural rock to be the master piece ... Imagine these little creatures swimming around like birds flocking around the mountain ...I will love to see them gathering around the rock ...
My camera dont do justice to these red shrimps as i am using a 5 mega pixel tablet camera to take ... So bear with me ...
This time, i decide to put a HOF .. Some said HOF is a NO NO while some online breeder said is good to have .... I minimise the flow so that it wont stress the shrimps too much ... Salinity level is 1.015 - 1.017 ..
Feel free to comment ..... Cheers !!!

I hope those are not land hermit crabs as they dont live underwater. They spend their time on land thus developed special gills to breath air like we do.
Pretty simple setup. But i think the shrimps will show darker colour if substrate is added.
Recent studies shows that putting recent studies in your statement have a higher percentage of trust people put into your recent studies. What?
Hi ... From my understanding, they are dwarf hermit. My friend said that they can live underwater, not too sure if it is for real ... Agree that substrate is makes them look darker. However, this time i am trying for a simple to maintain tank. Maybe my next tank can consider a full black concept =)
Elegant centerpiece you've there!
Nice work.
Nice! where to buy opae ula?

They do sell it at novelty shops. Comes in the form of enclosed and self sustainable ecosystem.
Normally novelty stores sell them as a set for really high prices.... Anywhere selling shrimps alone?
Hey tell me if you have sources for these shrimps too. Thanks!
PM me for details.
