Looking for a fish!

'm looking for a fish that can go into my 1.5ft tank.

It needs to be:

Coloured dully.
Able to school often.
Stay in the mid level of the tank.
Are of a size similiar to most boraras.
Can fit comfortably in a school of about ten in a 1.5ft.

The reason I'm asking this is because the obvious choice for the above criteria is fish from the boraras family. But I've noticed that most of them seem to be upper water dwellers and they don't really school except for the harlequien?
