I found a few eggs on my java moss
They all look like they've been covered with fungus.
I suspect its either the pencilfish or my lampeye cos they look quite round.

How does a pencilfish egg look like? How to tell a male from female?

I have about 6 of them in the 38Gal.

It's the lampeyes... they breed like rabbits whenever there's Java Moss around . I'm still bringing up one generation of fries from the pair I have.

If they are covered in fungus, they are gone. Leave them there... they'll just rot away over time.

How did you collect the eggs?
Did you use the breeding mop for killies?
I've made one and put it at one corner of the tank. But they chose to lay on the java moss instead

EDIT: I saw my pencilfish hanging around that log of java moss alot.
    Could it be her?

    Here's a pic of her..and she's so round lately.
