Hi guys, I'm looking for shell dweller cichlids from lake tanganyika, has anyone spotted any of these recently for a reasonable price? If it doesn't seem reasonable, what is the actual price range I'm fine with any species of shell dweller, thanks

    Re: (request) shell dweller

That's a lot of occellatus in one tank! They are conspecific and are likely to fight each other over territory. You will need a bigger tank for them to establish their personal space. Try to break their line of sight though decoration. The beauty about tangan is you really need to plan the species and quantity for your tank. Some do well in pair and some in group. Some prefer rocks, some prefer shells and some prefer open space.

    Re: (request) shell dweller

I'm using a 2 feet tank for the colony. For colony type you can get either N.Smilis or N.Multi, with N.Multi being the mildest temperament. I'm quite sure NKS do carry a tank of N.Similis for you to choose from.
