Anyone know where i can get this fish or knows of something that is equivalent and would eat beard/hair algae?? currently i have sae/otto/mosquito shrimps....but nothing seems to be eating the beard algae....have to remove it mechanically and it takes little pebbles along and somtimes can accidentally up root small plants...so i jsut want to get something that would do it instead of me..

would cherry shrimps or bee shrimps do the same thing?? i have some babies in a tank now.waiting for them to grow older b4 i put them in...

If you want the otos, yamato shrimps and sae to do the cleaning job, starve them first. You can do this by removing all other fishes.
cherry and bee shrimp will eat algae, but they're not very effective.
get sae and yamato and malayan shrimp..
btw, otos don't eat BBA
and you don't really have to starve them, just make sure your fish finish their food quickly..so that there won't be any left for the sae and shrimp..
