Is there anything wrong if there is foam or a layer of small bubbles on the edge of the tank?

Re: Foam on edge of tank

It can happen in tanks with added surface agitation, ie. from sponge filter. All the bubbles and movement gradually creates foam in the layer of bio-film on the water surface... it can also be an indication of higher bio-load from livestock and food that is producing all the extra bio-film on the surface too. You'll just have to scoop out the foam periodically.
