UA asked about the Sulawesi shrimp because it is known not to take well to planted tanks... I surmise you will end up with that poor fella gone too. They are too brittle. Need a specialized environment.

Yeah, i've always been tempted to keep sulawesi shrimps too... but based on common recommendations, they are supposed to require higher pH (7.5-8.5) water conditions, it tends to be abit of a mis-match for our low-pH planted tanks, especially Co2-injected tanks which usually regularly drop down way below pH 6.0 levels.
I've heard that they can adapt to lower pH conditions though, so just wondering if its actually possible and if anyone has actually successfully done it (and are able to keep these nice shrimps alive for more than a few months).
