    Hi guys,

When to Eco Culture today and saw this nice fish. So I took a picture.

Anyone knows what this betta is?

    Cheers,

Ok. Just found out that it's most likely to be Betta ocellata.

    And here's another betta!

I think breeding colors will be spectacular. But this fella was at the shop and separated from his girlfriend.

    More photos here.

    Cheers,

Eco Culture is now with Cichlid Forever (CF), 1024 Upper Serangoon Road. And yes, they may still have some wild Bettas there.

FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.

Species originate from our local streams? Only Betta Pugnax and maybe Betta Imbellis.
Eco Culture, GoNature or sometimes on Aquabid will have these magnificent creatures

Go Nature is at Block 932 Yishun Central. Very near to the Yishun Bus Interchange.

Aquabid is an online aquatic auction site based in the USA. Prices shown are in USD unless specified.

Initially the wild bettas will not take flake or pellets. You need to adapt them slowly to taking dried foods.

You need to slowly wean them off from live foods like daphnia or tubifex worms. Its not easy but workable.

I would however, feed them with just live foods. They just don't seem to eat any type of prepared foods that I give them.
