Looks like Blue-green algae or Cyanobacteria.
As titled.
Negligence led to this algae over running my mini hair grass lawn. The lawn is thus far the most lush I've ever had and thus, it's quite a heart ache seeing the damage done. I've just spot treated a small area with Excel and will like to seek all other advice on what can be practised to eliminate this algae. Many thanks in advance.

It looks very black. My bad experience with BGA always had literally blue green colour.
That's true but I've seen some in this hue of colour before. Do you have a closer up picture? What does it feel like? Slimy and gooey?
Cheers,
JJ
oh man, that is bad...any close shot?
I think it's a mixture of Blue green algae and the black beard algae. I encounter this a few months ago, treated it with excel.
Careful with excel as it may affect some of your LS in the tank if you are over dosing.
So far personally I deploy nature algae cleaner like snails , oto and Amano shrimps .
Thou my black algae is not on hair glass
