    Hi Guys,

    Just completed my 3.4 Litre Nano Tank setup (18.5cm x 12.5cm x 14.5cm).

I've succeeded in making the underwater Water-fall effect at the Middle (Sand is fine, so hard to control the suction of the air-pump).

But the result isn't that bad, I'm pretty glad I've done it.

Plant inside is Java Fern and Mini Nana.

Black Crystal Rock bought at C328, but crystal not shining in the water.

Share with me your comment, so I could do it better for my next tank.

    Thanks.

That's an interesting setup... i've seen some video tutorials of how to DIY those sand-based waterfalls, but haven't tried my hand at building one.

Any photos of your waterfall unit design and equipment used? It'll be great as a reference.

    Sand Ejector.jpg
Heehee... Thanks for your support and interest...
I've use paper to draw out the Sand Ejector design, then use those Transparent Binding Cover Page to cut them out according.
And stick them to the tank with Silicon Glue (Aquarium safe).
The bottom of the tank is place with some pebble to create a slope, so the sand will glide back to the suction point.
With the aid of the air pump, the sand will be suck into the suction point on the right bottom corner, and eject through the opening at the top center outlet.
The eject opening is design as a slope, so the sand will drop down instead of shoot out, so easier to control the location for the sand to drop.
As the tank is mini, so PVC pipe in the market is not suitable for this project, and thought of this idea to satisfy my passion on this.
So far, the result is great... Will be using the same idea for my 2 feet tank in the near future... =D
