hi, the tank calculator doesn't help in this: i need to know my tank capacity in terms of gallon.. 12"x"7x10"(height) tank but ofcoz i don't fill it to the top, maybe filled to 9inches high. so, how much does 12x7x9 of water represent in gallons?

actually i thought the tank calculator can do this, but it doesnt. i still need to key in the gallon/litres which i dono in the 1st place..
my planted tank is a small 12\"x7\"x10\"(height)

There is an arrow down button which you can click and choose the unit. It is the button next to the conversion table
    Choose 'in' for inch.

By keying in 12x7x9, you should get
    12.388620384Litres
    3.2737 US Gallon.

If I am not mistaken, the tank capacity should be the amount of water the tank can hold to the brim. so you should calculate 12x7x10in in your case.

Someone please correct if I'm incorrect.

i tried it in IE and works now. thanks for your feedback

i feel putting in the exact tank size a bit weird.. wat if pple don't fill it to the maximum? then the gallon readings wld be inaccurate no?

geez, it is just a simple length×breadth×height, do you REALLY need a calculator to do it for you?

BTW if you convert the dimensions to cm, then multiply the 3 dimensions and divide by 3785 will yield volume in US gallons.

    Actually,
Length x Width divided by 231 should do it for you....

that's only if you assume a fixed height, which is not the case.
