I tried that already. They can't eat the entire pellet, mouth still too small. They can only peck at it. Don't know if they're actually managing to eat any of it.

I had a similar problem with hikari micro pellets. I've switched to JBL flakes (nova bea) and they love it
im sure you can try other similar products by SERA, I've seen it while searching for suitable feed for these fellas.

Yeah, if the boraras you got are the juvenile/baby sized ones, then just crush the pellets with your fingers while sprinkling it on the water surface, they will be able to eat the smaller food particles

Re: boraras what to feed them?

hi! I've had Boraras brigittae and maculatus for awhile now. As always, recommended food is live food (freshly hatched brine shrimp/artemia) but as that's too much a hassle for me, I feed them crushed pellet of flakes. For pellet, I crush a SINGLE TetraBit to feed five little guys. They sink at a good rate for them to get to it (this is a shrimp tank so no other fish competes for their food). For crushed flakes, I use normal ocean free flakes. but since flakes float for long and it's abit hard for the Boraras to get to them, I sprinkle the flakes at the outlet of my hang-on filter so the water pushes it down.

    Hope this helps!

I feed mine with Attison's Betta food (they are quite fine, so the Brigittaes seems to be able to swallow them with a gulp)

Alternatively, can try Sera's O-nip or most flake foods........

Crush the flakes into smaller pieces, they will soften in water and your fishes would be able to peck at them even though it may not be bite-sized
