Substrate: ADA Powder Amazonia (1 Inch thick at lowest point, 4 inch thick at highest point)

    Light Duration: 8 hours/day
    Co2: 1.5 Bps
Fertilisers: Seachem Potassium 4ml/day, seachem iron 0.5ml/day
    Fauna: 18 x white cloud minnows, 22 x galaxy rasbora, 7 x otocinclus
Other information: Japanese hairgrass growth has been rapid. Achieve a lush carpet within a month. Start to turn brown only 2 weeks back only.

Greatly appreciate bros who are great carpet growers to advice what are my plants lacking or is there a mistake in my regime. Many thanks to all advice!

Start dosing micro/trace fertilizers, any comprehensive all-in-one formula will do.

Micro/trace nutrients usually get used up very quickly in a planted tank (especially in high-tech tanks with Co2 injection and fast plant growth), so those nutrients need to be supplemented to support further plant growth.

Also check your nitrate levels, it may also be bottoming out at this point in time... so if necessary, you may need to start dosing macro fertilizers too.

Well, macro nutrients are nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K), they are utilized in larger amounts by plants hence are essential for healthy plant growth.

Micro nutrients comprise of all other nutrients and elements that are required in trace amounts (hence usually referred to as micro or trace fertilizers)... like boron, calcium, chloride, cobalt, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, sodium, sulfur, zinc etc.

Both macro and micro nutrients are required by plants to grow healthily, if any nutrients are deficient, then the plants will start to show problems in health condition and growth.
